Hi crafters! I hope you are well! Today I have an autumn leaves card to share, with stamping and stenciling. I used stamps and a stencil from the new Simon Says Stamp Sweet Wishes release.

The Sweet Wishes release is filled with beautiful products perfect for holiday crafting, but often also for other themes. You can find the full release here.
Many leaves have now turned brown, or mostly brown, and are on the ground. The leaves on this card were done with a resist technique and are also mainly brown. I decided to keep the background in neutral shades too, but with an interesting stenciled pattern.
White emboss Simon Says Stamp Sketched Leaves on watercolor paper.
Paint the leaves with watercolors, letting the paints blend on the paper. Cut out with scissors or use the coordinating Sketched Leaves dies.
Distress the edges and shape the leaves.
Smear Distress Inks on a non-stick craft sheet and mist with water. Press the paper into the ink. Let dry and repeat.
Ink through Simon Says Stamp Octo stencil with Distress Inks.
Distress the edge and stitch to the background folded card with embroidery floss.
The sentiment also comes from Sketched Leaves and was stamped on a left-over piece of inky paper.
I had a few branches left from last week's Autumn Wreath card and added them to the card.
The embossing will become a bit distressed when you shape and fold the leaves, but it only adds to the look.
I also used Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Dazzling Gunmetal Gems, also from the Sweet Wishes release.
The sentiments were matted on Tim Holtz gold metallic kraft-stock.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. I will be back soon with more Halloween inspiration.
