Hi friends! We have beautiful snowy weather here and today the conditions for sledding were almost perfect. I have a Valentine's Day tag to share today, with a sisters theme.

The Hugs release is full of great dies, stamps, stencils and paper products and they aren't only for Valentine's projects. Hearts, for example, are great year around.
Start by white embossing the Simon Says Stamp Jumbled Hearts background on a heavystock tag.
Color the hearts with Distress Watercolor Pencils. No need for perfection.
Dissolve the pigment with water for a watercolor effect. I also added black in the small areas between the hearts.
When dry, apply Moon Dust Stickles Glitter Gel to some of the hearts.
The sentiment comes from Simon Says Stamp You're My Gal. I wanted the sentiment to stand out from the background without covering it up completely and white embossed it on vellum. Tear the sides.
The hearts were die cut from the new Mirror Ball paper, using the heart in Love Paw and the small heart in the 'o' of 'you' in Wild about You.
The Mirror Ball hearts look dimensional. I stamped the sentiments from You're My Gal with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Sherbet ink on white paper and cut out. They and the heart were mounted with Pawsitively Foam Tape. A few Tim Holtz Bouquet Flowers were stapled to the tag.
Adding glitter gel to just some of the hearts gives more interest to the background. You can cover all of them with glitter too, if you want.
The watercolor hearts are pretty messy, which was also the point. If you pick up the color directly from the tip of a Watercolor Pencil with a paint brush, you can get more precise coloring.
I added cheese cloth under the vellum title. I really like the font used for this word.
Thank you for visiting my blog today!
Happy stamping!
