Hi and welcome to my blog on this Monday! The sun is shining here for the first time in at least five days and it is nice to see that clear sky.

This week we have a 4 Legged Animals theme at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. I hope you will join us and don't miss the gorgeous project by our January guest designer Monica aka My Bonnet Bee.

One of my favorite animals is the elephant and I am very happy to have seen elephants in the wild quite a few times. My tag features an elephant wandering somewhere and I used sentiments which fit well with the message about the value of wandering.

The elephant stamp comes from an older set by Tim Holtz called Purely Random. Stamp on a tag with Jet Black Archival Ink.

Color the elephant with Distress Watercolor Pencils. I picked the pigment up from the pencils with a paint brush.

Ink the tag with Distress Ink using an ink-blending tool.

Place Tim Holtz Linen stencil over the tag and ink the corners and edges with Ground Espresso, to frame the image.

Add details and highlights to the elephant with a white gel pen and a black pen.

Stamp sentiments from Tim Holtz Tiny Text and Simon Says Stamp Forest Scenery and Mixed Labels. The circle border comes from Simon Says Stamp Mix and Match Circles. I also used the postal script stamp from Purely Random which has an South African address, fitting this project very well.

I stamped 'Wander' without reinking in different areas of the tag.

The stars were die cut from Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Velvet Luxury Cardstock Shades of Blue using the Stars die. The dots were added with a white gel pen.

As you can see, I also repeatedly stamped 'South Africa' from the script stamp.

I added a scribbly shadow to the elephant. I also like the larger version of this elephant stamp, which you can find on Tim's Life Adventure set. For a totally different look using that elephant stamp, check out my Elephant art journal page and Textured Elephant Canvas.

The Tiny Text sentiments were both too long, so I inked them up in portions.
