Christmas Wreath Tag

Hello crafters! I hope you had a nice weekend! We have had very cold weather and there is snow.

Our theme this week at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog is Tag It. I really like tags, mainly because it is a fun size to work on, and to test techniques and ideas. I like looking through all my tags now and then.

Don't miss the tag by our December guest designer Natasha Vacca.

My tag is something of a sister to last week's Christmas Bells tag, using the second big stamp on Tim Holtz's Department Store set and a different color combination. Last week's tag was pink, red, cream and gold.

Start by stamping the wreath on a heavystock tag with Jet Black Archival Ink.

Silver emboss snowflakes on the background. I had added extra Distress Ink around the edges, since I wanted a silver edge.

The sentiment was die cut with Tim Holtz's Twig & Stump from kraft stock paper. The panel was embossed in the Tree Rings folder and inked with brown ink. I die cut a second panel without the text from silver kraft stock paper. The snowflakes were also die with with Twig & Stump, from silver metallic kraft stock paper.

I added Diamond Stickles to the berries.

The tag was tied with silver tinsel. I really like tinsel.

I tend to like stray embossing powder and sometimes create the effect on purpose, such as here around the edge.

I also added a few Clippings Stickers.
