I made a card this week with a fun resist technique using dry embossing, wax and Distress Spray Stains. Lots of silver, glitter and metallic shine on this card. Thank you cards are always good to have at hand.

Start by embossing a piece of heavystock paper in Eileen Hull's Sizzix Silverware embossing folder. I just love the fine details that you get.

Apply Sizzix Silver Luster Wax with your finger. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Mist the card heavily with Salvaged Patina, Ground Espresso and Black Soot Distress Spray Stain. The wax will resist the mist.

The photos don't quite capture the metallic shine from the silver wax.

The foliage was die cut with Simon Says Stamp Berry Stems from Black kraftstock, Silver metallic kraftstock and Simon Says Stamp Silver Glitter paper. Sand some of them slightly. Glue glitter berries to the silver branches and sequin berries to the glitter branches.

The label was stamped with Simon Says Stamp Mixed Labels on Tim Holtz Halloween Backdrops paper using Surf ink and die cut with the coordinating die. The sentiment comes from Simon Says Stamp All Seasons Tree.

I really like to add a bunch of branches and leaves die cut from different surfaces.

Shape some of the leaves and branches to give them more dimension. For more inspiration with a Thanksgiving theme check out my art journal page from last week.
