Christmas Joy Tag Tutorial

 Hello friends!! We woke up to -18 degrees Celcius this morning, which is pretty chilly.

This week we have a 'Santa' theme at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog and the team is showcasing products by Tim Holtz. You can find Tim's fantastic range of stamps, dies, stencils, inks, paint, embellishments and more here.

I am very fond of both traditional vintage Santa Claus and the more humble 'Santa gnome' which we also have in Sweden. On this tag, I used a Santa stamp from Tim Holtz Christmas Classic set and colored him with colored pencils. 

Start by inking a tag with Antique Linen and Pumice Stone.

Stamp Santa with black ink and color him with colored pencils. I used Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils.

Stamp the pine branch and the berry branch from Winter Watercolor 2 with Olive and Potting Soil Archival Ink.

Ink around Santa with green and brown Distress Inks.

Apply Sizzix Gold Luster Wax around the edges.

The stars and the sentiment comes from Tim's Christmas Vault Series 2021 and were die cut from Gold Kraft Stock paper.

I did pretty quick coloring on this tag.

This sentiment die is so pretty. I also used some metallic stickers.
