Hello friends! Welcome back to another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog theme. This week our theme is Artist Trading Cards.
Please note: this post has affiliate links, for which I receive a small percentage of sales generated by the link, at no extra cost to you.
ATCs are a fun size to craft with. Artist Trading Cards are miniature pieces of art. Traditionally these are 2.5″ x 3.5″ rectangular cards but now also include Artist Trading Coins which are 2.5″ circles. I hope you will join us! And don't miss the beautiful project by our November guest designer Laura Cassina.
I made three Christmas themed Artist Trading Cards, using watercolor stamping and beautiful stamps by Tim Holtz.
Start by cutting three cards from watercolor paper. Smear Distress Ink on a non-stick craft sheet, mist with water and press the cards into the ink.
Ink the stamps from Tim Holtz Winter Watercolor 2 with Distress Inks. I used a combination of ink pads and two markers. Mist with water about four times before stamping.
When dry, stamp with the script and music stamps from Tim's The Poinsettia.
Stamp texture with this stamp from The Poinsettia.
Ink the edges and round the corners.
The sentiments were stamped on cream paper and cut into strips.
This is my favorite of the cards, the berry twig stamp is so pretty.
A closer look of the berries and twigs.
You can mix the stamps from Winter Watercolor 2 to create many different designs. We had frosty grass this morning.
If you mist too little water on the stamp before stamping, you can lightly mist the design after stamping too.
I hope you will join us this week in our ATC challenge. You have a chance to win a $25 gift voucher to do some fun shopping at Simon Says Stamp. You have until Monday 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in.
These are just breath taking, Anna-Karin!
