Blue glittery flower

This card is for this month's Hero Arts challenge (thinking of you theme), and for WSW12 challenges on Two Peas (Sparkle & Frost, Bowl me over and Let's Dance).

Daria's Sparkle & Frost challenge was so to do the 'dryer sheet technique', you can find the tutorial by Charmaine Ikach here. I have never seen a dryer sheet in my life, so instead I used tulle. I stamped the flower with Archival Jet Black ink and coloured it with Distress Markers (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw). I applied Scoretape on top of the flower, added the tulle and then sprinkled glitter on top, rubbing it into the tape. It's a really fun technique and I bet it looks even better if you use a used dryer sheet.

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Smokey Gray and I used the same ink to stamp the scipt on the patterned paper.

You see the texture and sparkle better on this close-up.

Thank you for visiting!

  3. I'm a little confused about using the ScorTape on top of the flower....what width tape did you use? or did you just put it edge to edge?
    This is just so pretty!
