STAMPtember® blog party

Hello and welcome to my blog! STAMPtember® has arrived again at Simon Says Stamp and it is the 16th STAMPtember®! It is the best stamping month of the year, filled with inspiration, creativity and surprises.

I am happy to be a part of the huge blog party to celebrate the start of STAMPtember®!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember.

STAMPtember® is a month-long celebration of stamping at Simon Says Stamp, with inspiration, new products and many surprises. You can find the beginning of the blog party on the Simon Says Stamp Store Blog. It is a big party, with 105 participants from all over the world!

There is of course also a big new exclusive STAMPtember® release. The STAMPtember® release is full of fantastic new stamps of course, but also dies, stencils, inks and paper products. So much! You can find it all here.

I also have a free gift for you. You will get the exclusive Koala-ty stamp set free with a qualifying purchase, if you use the code KLAB. It is valid while supplies last.

I made a tag, but you can easily turn it into a card instead.

We are on the border between summer and autumn and this tag is also a mix of the two. A floral tag, but with colors leaning towards autumn. I used the new Simon Says Stamp Boho Flowers embossing folder for the background and the Charming Flower Stem for the flowers. The sentiments come from the Pumpkin Blessings set. All these are from the new STAMPtember® release.

Dry emboss Simon Says Stamp Boho Flowers.

Ink the Simon Says Stamp Boho Flowers embossing folder with embossing ink. Emboss a heavystock tag in the folder and immediately cover with white embossing powder. Flick off the excess powder and melt. Always be careful with using a heat tool and do not touch the melted powder until it has cooled down completely.

Ink with Distress Ink.

Don't worry if the white embossing powder is not all in the right place, it will just add texture to the tag. Ink the tag with Distress Ink.

Cut two of the solid flowers off from the stem. Shape the flowers with Tim Holtz Shaping Kit.

Simon Says Stamp Charming Flower Stem.

Die cut the flowers again from dark brown cardstock and glue together. Off-set the brown cardstock, as a shadow and to make the flowers stand out better from the background.

Add Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Dazzling Gems.

I added Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Dazzling Sunbeam Gems to the flower centers in the background.

The sentiments were stamped with Simon Says Stamp Pumpkin Blessings. The sentiment stamps are meant to be stamped on a ribbon stamp or stencil and aren't straight, adding a playful look.

The Simon Says Stamp Boho Flowers folder has great details and many different kinds of flowers and leaves.

Here you can better see the dimension of the flowers.

I finished the tag with some lace and twine that I found on my desk.
