Sunny Neighborhood Tag

Hello stampers! We are celebrating STAMPtember® at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and our challenge this week is 'Stamp It'.

Please note: this post has affiliate links, for which I receive a small percentage of sales generated by the link, at no extra cost to you.

Don't miss all the STAMPtember® inspiration, surprises and exclusive products during the month. Since this is the first Monday of a new month, the team is showcasing products from a specific company/designer and this week, it is of course Simon Says Stamp wide range of exclusive products. You can find them all here.

Since it is a new month, we also have a new guest designer and during September it is Susanne with her blog Susanne's Blog. I hope you will stop by her blog and see what she has created for you.

There has also been a huge Simon Says Stamp release for STAMPtember®, with stamps, dies, stencils, inks and paper products.

I created a sunny neighbourhood on a tag for this week's challenge. It was inspired by the STAMPtember® Concentric Doodle background, which made me think of sun rays. We used to live very close to the highway and it is so much quieter in and around our new place. There was always this constant background noise from the highway, which is now gone.

I started by white embossing the Concentric Doodle on a heavystock tag.

It was inked with Distress Inks, starting in the center with yellow. I also misted it lightly with water.

The sun was stamped with one of my own previous sets, Mix and Match Circles. Stamp the sun with Mustard Seed Oxide Ink and then stamp the smaller circle with rays in the center with Spiced Marmalade.

The houses were stamped with the Printmaking Houses set, which is such a fun set. They were actually left-overs from my project from the STAMPtember® blog party and you can see the steps to create them in that blog post here.

You was die cut from glimmery cardstock and 'smile' comes from So Far So Good.

I cut the sun out and mounted with foam tape. 'Peaceful' and 'quiet' comes from the Forest Scenery set.

Three of the houses were mounted with one or two layers of foam tape. I also stamped some circle stamps in the background at the bottom of the tag.

Here you can see the dimension better.
