Hi everyone! I hope you have had a nice weekend! We went to a beautiful wedding and had a really good time together with family and friends.
This week at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog we have an In My Garden theme. I am looking forward to seeing what everyone will create. Don't miss the last project by our February guest designer Stacy Hutchinson.
I needed a wedding card and decided to do a shaker card with white and cream tones. For my base, I used the same Sizzix Bohemian Heart Impresslits Cut and Emboss folder that I used about a month ago, for a Valentines shaker card. This card is different from that one though, since that was a very colorful card. The folder embosses and die cuts the heart in one go, so it is perfect for shaker cards.
The flowers are Prima's Isle Marina St Tropez flowers and I white-washed them with paint to tone down the original colors. They were also shaped quite a bit.
Under the flowers, I layered Tim Holtz Garden Greens die cut branches.
The shaker itself has several layers, and there is white script stamping on the acetate used for the window. Inside, you will find, mica flakes, silver micro beads, and a mix of SSS Moonshine sequins.
The hearts were die cut from white wool felt.
The die cut word is also from the Bohemian Heart set. I die cut it once from white cardstock and once from cream and layered them.
