12 tags of Christmas 11

My 11th tag for ’12 tags of Christmas’ turned out a bit differently, with quite a bit of white space, my shrink plastic scene turned out so small that it needed some space around it. Here's the tag:

I love shrink plastic and it is always a bit of magic to see the pieces shrink. See how small and cute the die cut tree, bird, snowflakes and car became. I don’t have the heating pot, instead I usually heat layers of UTEE with my heat gun, but I didn’t feel like handling these small pieces with all the detail like that. So instead, I shrunk the pieces, coloured them with alcohol ink, and then coated them on top with Glossy Accents, which gives a similar look as UTEE.

Dye inks on glossy is one of my favourite looks. The tag was inked with Iced Spruce, and then Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles were sponged on the edges. I flicked quite a bit of water on the tag to create the bleached drop effect and then stamped it with a snowflake stamp using Jenni Bowlin Weather Wane. The sentiment and circle were stamped with Jet Black on glossy cardstock. The sentiment was inked with Fired Brick and the circle with Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles. The sentiment reads ‘Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year’ and the circle contains the recipe for the most well-known Swedish Christmas toffee. Both were adhered with foam dots. Baker’s twine was added as a little road. I also painted the plastic pieces white on the back before sticking them down.

Thank you so much for visiting! Tomorrow it is time for the last tag.
