Hello friends! This is the time of the year when many trees start to bloom and it is so beautiful. The Sakura trees are flowering and more trees have followed. My card today is inspired by all those pink and white trees, but mostly the pink.

I wanted to capture all that pink which is extra vibrant and visible now since most trees are not green yet. I made an inky pink and green background and die cut a whole lot of flowers.
I started with watercolor paper and smeared Distress Ink on a non-stick craft sheet, mist with water and press the paper into the ink. Let dry and repeat until you are happy. I misted Distress Spritz Saltwater Taffy on some of the papers.
The background was done in the same way, but also using green inks.
Die cut flowers with Simon Says Stamp Poised Primula.
Shape the flowers with Tim Holtz Shaping Kit.
Stamp this tree from Tim Holtz Sketch Manor on the background and extend the trunk with a pen.
Die cut Simon Says Stamp Garden Fence from paper that had been gessoed (and dry). Dry brush with Hickory Smoke.
Glue the flowers to the tree. I used mainly the flowers which had been misted with the Distress Spritz. That effect is hard to capture on photos. The flowers are very glimmery in real life.
Let some flowers fly away.
And some flowers have fallen to the ground. Isn't this fence great! I love picked fences.
I added Simon Says Stamp Opal Rainbow sequins here and there.
I like the small sizes of Simon Says Stamp Poised Primula.
The card has quite a lot of delicate dimension.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! See you again soon!
Happy crafting!
