Hi friends! Before the weekend starts, I have a quick card to share with you today, made with a Tim Holtz Crazy Dog stamp.
We always had dogs when I grew up, which is one of the reasons why I really like Tim Holtz Crazy Dog stamp set. I also know a lot of people who like dogs, and would like a dog card. The dog on the card has too many balls in the air and dropped his chewing bone.
The background was done on Ranger's Distress Woodgrain paper. First, I smeared a little Distress Micro Glaze around the edges of the paper, to keep them white. Then an uneven coat of Distress Grit Paste was applied with a palette knife over parts of the woodgrain paper and I pressed a Simon Says Stamp Stacked Stars die cut from Woodgrain Paper into the paste. The paste works as an adhesive. When the paste was dry, I smeared Twisted Citron and a little Mowed Lawn Distress Ink on my craft sheet, misted with water and pressed the card into the ink. As you can see, the ink is darker on the paper areas, than on the paste, since the paste soaks up some of the ink. I also splattered some black paint on the background with a Splatter Brush.
The sentiment comes from the Circle Sayings SSS set.
Thank you for visiting today and enjoy your weekend!!
Happy crafting!

ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic Anna-Karin. Nice to know that it's not just people that have too many balls in the air :) Love that background. Amazing texture and color. The die cut path is perfect ... it really does ground your adorable crazy dog on the card. LOve this!!! -- Mary Elizabeth
