Hi everyone! I have a quick Valentine's card to share today with a fun stamped ombre background.
I made this a little while ago, but hadn't gotten it posted yet. The background was stamped with Ranger's vibrant dye inks and Tim Holtz
Wallpaper background stamp. The stamp was inked starting in the middle, with Pink Gumball, and then on both sides of that with Wild Orchid. Finally, I used Grape Soda at both edges. It was stamped on
Specialty Stamping paper. I love the matte coated finish of the Specialty Stamping paper.
I wanted to use
this sentiment, but it is a pretty large stamp and I didn't want to cover up too much of the background. Instead, a tag was die cut from shrink plastic and I stamped the sentiment on the tag before shrinking it, as well as a heart border. The back was coloured with Snow Cap Mixative and I coated the front with Glossy Accents, to give it a great finished look.
The
hearts were die cut from metal foil tape, which had first been adhered to cardstock. They were embossed in the
Dot-Matrix folder and coloured with Snow Cap Mixative. The little heart was punched from a silver DecoSheet. The card was finished with some Industrious stickers, tissue tape and lace trimmings.
Thank you so much for looking! I'll be back tomorrow with a fun tutorial.
Happy stamping!
Anna-Karin
