Sunrise over the river

We are continuing our September Dusk to Dawn theme at Craft a Scene

Sunrise over the river - Layers of ink
I set out to make a sunrise card, but it might look more like sunset. The scene is stamped on glossy cardstock with Jet Black Archival ink. The focal stamp is the new Stampscapes River stamp and I filled out the sides with the Sedge Cluster and the Sedge Filler. Both of these two stamps are great when it comes to filling out a scene. The scene is coloured with dye inks, using a Colorbox Stylus tool. As usual I started with the lightest colours (Lemonade and Willow) and gradually added darker colours. I used yellow, orange, red and purple for the sky and repeated the same colours in the water. The water ripple stamp was stamped with orange ink, if you look closely you can see that it shows also on the darker inks, giving a nice look to the water.

Highlights were added with a white gel pen and mist and shine by dry-brushing pigment ink on the scene.

Thank you for looking! There is still plenty of time to join us this month.

Happy Stamping!

Anna-Karin
