CSI case file #41

Hello! This week we have a lovely case file at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration, with so many different possibilties. Don't forget to check out what the DT and guests did with this case file:

And my layout:

From the evidence items I used: white on white texture, balloons, crepe paper, layers. From the testimony items I made a pocket and you pull the journaling tag out with a ribbon. I really like this photo of my sisters, niece and nephew and it was fun to scrap it. I used a piece of very light grey cardstock for the background and stamped it with flourishes in pink ink.

Nine rectangles were die cut from white cardstock and embossed in nine different embossing folders. I distressed the edges and stiched the rectangles to the base cardstock. The photo was layered on a different patterend papers, die cuts and a strip of crepe paper.

The Prima ticket strip was stamped with Archival Ink Rose Madder on Specialty Stamping paper. The leaf branch comes from the Leaves w/stamps Sizzix Framelits die, which has both dies and coordinating stamps. I'll be using this one a lot, here I simply stamped the outline leaves with Archival Ink Viridian, on Specialty Stamping Paper. The swirls are cut with Karen Burniston's Hello Set die.

This sweet 'love' word is also cut from Core'dinations cardstock with Karen Burniston's Love Sizzlits set.

I made the pocket from BasicGrey Basics cardstock, using Tim Holtz's Pocket Envelope die. The tag from Tag & Tie fits perfectly inside and the label from the Love Sizzlits was just the right size for the front. I cut it from Specialty Stamping paper, stamped a circle on it and the title of the page in the middle. The journaling is written on the tag. It's pretty personal, about how much I miss my sisters, niece and nephew, being far away from them.

The balloons were stamped with Tumbled Glass on Specialty Stamping paper, love how even the lighter shades of Distress Inks give such great impressions on this paper. The cute paper clip is from the Love Sizzlits set.

Another photo of the white dry embossing, white on white dry embossing is perfect for backgrounds and you can use busy embossing folders, but without making the layout feel too busy.

Thank you for looking! I hope you can join us this week!
