Here’s my card for this week’s Card Patterns sketch #152. This week we are sponsored by Sparkle Creations and I got to play with this fun Backpack Oliver stamp.
Here's the great sketch designed by Tracy:
And this is my card:
The boy was stamped and clear embossed on watercolour paper and coloured with Distress Inks smeared on my craft sheet, lightly misted and applied with a paint brush. When the first layer had dried completely, I added some texture to the hair, jersey and pants using a dryer brush (stipling and dragging the brush across the paper). It is important that the first layer of ink is completely dry before doing this second step. The sentiment was stamped on ledger paper and cut into three parts. I also used a maths paper and some staples to fit with the theme of the card.
Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to check out the Card Patterns blog for the cards made by the rest of the DT.
