Hello friends! We have a 'Let's go on vacation' theme at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week. Fun!

We got got back home from spending some time with my family and enjoying the the sea and various lakes. I made a summery scene in my art journal this week, working in Dina Wakley's White Journal which is 6x6 in.

I started by applying texture paste through the Simon Says Stamp Mermaid Scales stencil.

When dry, I applied a little Stickles over the scales.

Stamp the main image from Simon Says Stamp Mother Earth on watercolor paper.

Smear Distress Inks on a non-stick craft sheet and watercolor the image.

Stamp circles with Simon Says Stamp Mix and Match Circles.

Stamp a label with Simon Says Stamp Mixed Labels and Melon ink. Die cut with the coordinating die and stamp a sentiment from Dandelion Messages.

Add dots and lines with a white gel pen.

It is fun to create circle designs with the Mix and Match Circles set and various inks.

I had a left-over butterfly in just the right colors on my desk. It was made with Simon Says Stamp Graceful Butterflies and you can find the tutorial here.

I die cut the label a little skewed by mistake, but was fine with it for this fun-filled layout.

Lines and dots with a white gel pen is a fun way to add interest.
