Autumn Squirrel Card

Hi friends! I have a quick card to share with you today, made with the Simon Says Stamp November card kit. 

It usually takes a little while for the Simon Says Stamp card kits to make their way across the sea to me and they are often sold out once I get them, but the November Card Kit came quickly and is still in stock. You can also buy most of the products separately, if you don't want the kit. I really liked this apple paper and wanted to use it as a background on a card.

Cut a cardbase from the kraft paper included in the kit and a mat from the orange paper. Round the outer corners and ink the edges.

Aren't these images from the P13 Four Seasons Autumn pad included in the kit adorable? I cut out the squirrel, mushrooms and an acorn. Ink the edges.

Stamp one of the circles from the Circle Sentiments Christmas set with brown ink on kraft paper. Stamp one of the sentiments from the beautiful Big Thanks Autumn set included in the kit.

Cut the circle out and mount on the card. The kit also contains these great Darice thin foam strips and I wanted to see if I could use them with the foil that is also included in the kit.

Remove the liner from the foam tape and rub one of the foil sheets on top. It sticks perfectly and gives a great dimensional metallic look. Cover the white on the side of the foam with a Tombow marker.

On the inside I stamped two more sentiments with a combination of Khaki and Dark Chocolate ink.

When I photographed the card, I noticed this cute, tiny mushroom right in front of the card and had to take a close-up. I would never have noticed it if I wasn't taking the photo. 

The squirrel, mushrooms and acorn were adhered with foam tape. I often see squirrels on my walk and they are always fun to look at.

The dimensional foil border gives a nice touch to the card. I also added some of the sequins from the kit.

I often forget to stamp a sentiment on the inside and sometimes leave it out on purpose, since I might not know when or to whom the card will be sent. But general thank you cards are always good to have at home.

There are also envelopes included in the kit and I made sure to cut my card to a size that would fit into the burnt orange envelope.
