Notebook Paper Layout

Hi everyone!! It is Monday and I hope you weekend was good. We have been sledding both days and Leo loves it and keeps asking for 'one more time'. 

This week at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog we have a Take Note challenge. Such a fun theme, with lots of options (notebook paper, notes, notebooks, etc.). Don't miss the project by our February guest designer Stacy Hutchinson.

I realised I hadn't done a scrapbooking layout for a while and I want to add more layouts to the boys' scrapbooks. This one is about going to school and I used a whole lot of notebook paper. I have loved notebook and ledger papers every since I started papercrafting. They are neutral so you can do so many things with them, at the same time, as they add character and texture, and also works great for anything vintage or school/learning related. Anton has an amazing thirst for knowledge and is interested in almost everything, and this layout is about that. There is journaling on the back of the layout. The title translates 'search for knowledge'.

I used layers of notebook and other learning related papers, most of them come from the Kaisercraft Documented Paper Pad, but there are also some by Tim Holtz, such as the one with the letters. I cut out one A, for his initial. There is also some vellum to add one more layer. The edges were torn and inked.

I love this sentiment from the SSS Thank you Teacher set. It was stamped with Fern Green Archival Ink and I used that same ink for most of the stamping. 

This sentiment stamp comes from Tim Holtz. I also die cut hearts from green paper using the new SSS Cupid's Heart Border die, from the new Love release.

The Documented paper pad contains some tags, circles and other shapes. I also stamped a clock and placed a mirrored heart in its center.

These tags also come from the Documented paper pad. All I did was to ink the edges, tie a string to them and add some die cut hearts.

Here's another great quote and it is extra special for Anton since it is a South African one. I also used it on this wall-hanger.

Some words were stamped repeatedly.

I also really like old rulers, and this ruler paper from the Documented pad, went well together with a Clippings Sticker.

Another little tag, a label letter and a tiny heart. Isn't the pencil paper in the background cool?

The title letters were die cut with the Storybook die from mat board. I painted them with Mowed Lawn Distress Paint, sanded the edges and inked them with Vintage Photo. Then they were stamped with an alphabet background stamp.
