Hello friends! I can almost not believe another week has past and it is Monday again. This week at the
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge we have a
Red, Blue and/or White challenge. Since it is the first Monday of a new month, we are also showcasing a specific company and this month it is
IndigoBlu, which makes wonderful rubber stamps.
I was in the mood for some scenic stamping and made a tag, using only red, blue and white (and a little black). The tag was
die cut from glossy cardstock and coloured with dye inks, which looks wonderfully vibrant on glossy cardstock.
These are the two stamp sets from IndigoBlu that I used:
Clumber Park and
Periodic Table of Elements. Clumber Park was perfect for scenic stamping, and I had fun incorporating the table of elements into the scene too.
I first masked a hill with torn printer paper and then stamped the
Periodic Table of Elements with Red Geranium ink. The dog was stamped with Jet Black ink and the rest of the stamping was done with Simon Says Stamp
Soft Navy, which is a really nice dark blue ink. Highlights were added with a white gel pen.
The birds were stamped with Soft Navy. I coloured the tag with dye inks, using a
Colorbox Stylus Tool with an
Oval Tip. This is my favourite tool for colouring scenic stamping pieces. It gives great control. I also added some white pigment ink, to give the clouds some shine, and for mist under the dog and among the grasses.
The tree was stamped twice without reinking in between.
For my sentiment, I used one of the stamps from the Simon Says Stamp
Uplifting Thoughts set. There are so many wonderful sentiments on that set, it is hard to choose.
The Crinkle Ribbon was dyed with Candied Apple.
I hope you will join us in our
Red, blue and7or white challenge. As every week, you have a chance to win a $50 gift voucher from
Simon Says Stamp. You have until Monday 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in.
Do you use Instagram ? If so please add
#sssmchallenge so we can see your entries there too.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Happy crafting!
