Transparent Silver Glitter Card

Hello friends! We went to get our tree this weekend. Anton and I found a dense tree which is really pretty and had fun decorating it. It is Monday again and a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is up. This week our challenge is just a pinch, which is such a fun idea for a challenge. I am looking forward to seeing all the submissions.

Layers of ink - Transparent Silver Glitter Card by Anna-Karin
I made a transparent card using just a pinch of a bunch of stuff, particularly small pieces of various surfaces: silver paper, glittery Deco Sheet, vellum, and white paper. I also used a tiny bit of texture paste, glitter and three sequins. The dies are all Simon Says Stamp Exclusive dies. Transparent cards are hard to photograph, here you can see it standing on top of our post box. It would have looked good with snow in the background and last night a very little bit of icy snow has fallen.

Here is the card against a white background and you can see the silver dots in the Clearly Posh printed acetate from We R Memory Keepers a little better. The pads comes with patterns in silver and gold. I was happy to find it since I enjoy using transparent elements.

I placed the printed acetate on a piece of folded acetate, which was first stamped with the Falling Snow stamp, using Stazon Cotton White. The acetate looks a little dusty, but you don't really see that in real life.

I die cut the new Sketch Frame from silver Metallic Kraft-Core paper and then again from white paper. The Falling Snow stencil was placed on the white paper and Texture Paste applied with a palette knife. While the paste was still wet, I sprinkled Rock Candy glitter on top, for a snow effect.

The Deco Sheet was adhered to cardstock before die cutting the Sketch Trees and Stitched Flakes.

These snowflakes are so detailed and pretty. I used the Sizzix Precision Base Plate when die cutting them and they came out perfectly.

The snowy hill under the trees was made with vellum. I die cut the frame from vellum three times and tore to create the hills. The three sequins were glued with matte multi-medium.

The sentiment comes from a larger die, the Merry Christmas Ornament and I only used the sentiment part, which has such a pretty font. The card was finished with a piece of glittery ribbon.

Here you can see the silver dots from the Clearly Posh printed acetate better.

I hope you will join us in our just a pinch challenge. As always you have a chance to win a $50 gift voucher from Simon Says Stamp. You have until Monday 8am Ohio time. 1pm UK time, 2 pm CET to join in.
