Hello all! We finally have warmer weather and I hope it will stay for a while. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog we have a coffee or tea challenge.
I used to dislike coffee, but started drinking it while I was finishing my thesis, for the long hours of editing and re-editing. Since then, I love my cup of coffee in the morning. This art journal, in my large Dylusions journal, is about coffee and about the need to relax now and then. I used a bunch of different Tim Holtz products here and took some step photos.
Start by applying Texture Paste over most of the page, using the Flourish stencil. Leave to dry in between applications, so that you don't smear what you have already done.
The cups were die cut from watercolour paper. I also die cut them from Simon Says Stamp Masking Sheet, and used just the top (inside of the cup), and the bottom of the plate, to mask out those sections.
I wanted a doily too, and white embossed a doily stamp from the Mini Ornates set. It was coloured with the same Distress Inks as used on the cups.
I used a Relax die by Simon Says Stamp, and a fun Photobooth image. The lace was dyed with the Distress Spray Stains.
As always, you might be the one lucky to win the $50 gift voucher from Simon Says Stamp, if you participate in the challenge. We love to see all the creations every week.
Thank you so much for stopping by here today!
Happy crafting!
