Hi stampers! I have a
Darkroom Door card to share with you today, perfect for summer time or maybe for Father's Day.
I used the new
Fishing Photo Stamp to make this quick card. The image was stamped with Archival Jet Black ink on smooth watercolour paper. It is important to use a waterproof ink for this technique. Smear Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Worn Lipstick, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain) on a craft sheet and mist each colour once with water. Pick up with a paint brush and watercolour the image. Leave some areas the white of the paper. Give the fisherman a shadow with dark brown ink.
Distress the edges of the main panel and mount on a piece of watercolour cardstock, where the edges have also been distressed. The cardbase is dry embossed Core’dinations Tim Holtz
Kraft-Core cardstock embossed in an
Ocean Script folder from Sizzix. Cut a sentiment from Wilderness Wordstrips and ink the edges. Add some twine and the card is done.
Thank you for visiting today!

ReplyDeleteFabulous job!
ReplyDeleteThis is so soft and gentle. Many dad and granddads out there will appreciate this beautiful scene. I like to water colour and use my water base markers but I often forget to use my distress inks. Thank you for the reminder and the instructions on making this card. :)
ReplyDeleteA perfect card indeed for Father's day or any other occasion! :D
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it, thanks for sharing the technique you used as usual Anna-Karin... Have a lovely end of week, hugs Coco
