Vellum Inksheets Flowers

Hi again! Anton is happy about the comments on his Spooky Glittery House from yesterday. I've read them to him. Today, I have a tutorial on the Sizzix blog. It went up yesterday, but since I already had two posts on my blog then, I decided to post it here today. It's a fun tutorial with lots of techniques.

Layers of ink - Vellum Inksheets Flowers by Anna-Karin with Sizzix dies by Eileen Hull and Tim Holtz.
I wanted to try the Sizzix Inksheets on vellum and it worked wonderfully. The flowers were die cut with new dies by Eileen Hull: Pansy Flower and Heart & Soul Flower, and I used Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies to add the patterns, together with gold and white Inksheets. The flowers have a really pretty patterned translucent look to them.

Looking at the tag, did you notice that the background is just one layer (apart from the sticker). I used a fun masking technique with Tim Holtz Stitched Ovals, and a black Inksheet turned the dies into stamps.

You'll find the full tutorial on the Sizzix blog.

Thank you for stopping by today!

  1. I loved seeing all the techniques you used on this tag, the inksheets worked so well, as did the Distress Crayons on the vellum, the flowers are really beautiful. Anne x

  4. This tag is beautiful! I love the flowers, especially. Unfortunately, the Sizzix blog won't show it's pictures on my phone, so I can't see the step by step photos.
