Marble Card

Hi friends! I have a quick Darkroom Door card to share with you today, which could be adapted as a Christmas card, if you use different colours.

Darkroom Door's Texture stamps are great for all kinds of background effects, but you can also use them as the focal point a card. The new Marbling Texture stamp is such a fun stamp and works great both as a background and as a focal point. I made it the star of this card by stamping it three times on three panels. It was fun to experiment with different colour combinations on this stamp.

Ink up the stamp with different Distress Inks, you can also use Distress Markers if you’d like. Mist quite generously with water (about 4 or 5 times) and stamp on watercolour paper.

Leave the ink to dry and magic happens. I love the unpredictable nature of watercolour stamping. You will never get the same result twice.

I distressed the edges of the panels and mounted them on vellum and on a second piece of watercolour paper. Since the card is pretty simple, the multiple mats give it more texture and interest. Everything was then mounted on folded white cardstock. The sentiment was stamped on a Tattered Curvy Banner and glued to the card.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a lovely weekend!

Happy stamping!
