Distressed Crazy Birds Wall Art Tutorial

Hello again! This is my second post for the day, if you are here for my Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge post, you will find it below. I am sharing a tutorial on the Sizzix blog today, for a wall panel which will make you smile.

My son frequently wants to keep things that I make for himself, and this one is now hanging above his bed. He loves it and angles it at night so that he can lie down and still see it from the right angle. I love Tim Holtz's Bird Crazy stamps, and you can also find them in this and this project of mine. Sizzix has made a coordinating die set, which makes it very easy to build dimensional birds, and you don't need to use your scissors at all. I particularly like that there is no white border around the die cut, which works very well when you paper piece an image and gives a more seamless result.

I used a fun resist technique with Ranger's Distress Micro Glaze to colour the birds.

To see the full tutorial, you'll have to head over to the Sizzix blog.

Thank you for stopping by here today!

Happy crafting!
