It's the little things

Hello everyone! Time for a new CSI:Color, Stories, Inspiration challenge, here's the case file:

My page:

I used a lot of products by Tim Holtz on this page about finding the joy in little things, like tiny flowers. From the evidence I used: woodgrain, wet medium, stars, sun, clouds and strings. From the testimony items, I journaled about an outdoor activity. The background paper is Motif cardstock by Tim, which is a fun resist paper. I smeared three colours Distress Ink on my craft sheet, misted with water and dragged the paper through the ink to create three broad stripes.

Here you can better see the cool resist woodgrain effect. There are a lot of different patterns in the paper pack.

Under the photo, I layered a piece of patterned paper and three tags that I found in my scrap box. You can find a tutorial for the one to the left here. The middle one is gelli printed and I think the right one was dyed with walnut ink crystals. The title was done with Chit Chat stickers.

The sun is die cut with Tim Holtz Prize Ribbons die, which is a die that works for a lot of other things than prize ribbons. I die cut it from leftover crepe paper inked with Distress Stain. Speech bubble dies can often double as clouds, and here I used one of the four speech bubbles on Marisa Pawelko's Thought Talk Bubbles die, just cutting off one part. They were die cut from mat board, and after applying rub-ons, they were coated with Glossy Accents. I tiny bit of Distress Ink got stuck under the Glossy Accents on the top cloud.

I used the new Expedition ShadowPress folder for this banner, together with Potting Soil ink. The stars were die cut from mat board, inked orange, and the edges were sanded to reveal the white mat board.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Happy crafting!
