Heart Birdhouse

Today I have another project to share using Eileen Hull's new Sizzix Picket Fence collection, the 3-D Birdhouse.

Heart Birdhouse - Layers of ink
A pretty quick birdhouse, die cut from mat board, inked and stamped. This is my second project with this die, you can see the first one here. It is such a sweet die and I love both birds and little houses. The Scoreboards dies both cuts and scores the material, so they are very easy to assemble into 3-D projects.

After inking with Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs, I stamped the front with a Tim Holtz sentiment stamp, using Gathered Twigs. A love definition stamp was stamped here and there, using first to third generation impression and holding it in my hand instead of mounting on a block.

The roof was stamped with a woodgrain stamp and inked around the edges. The silhouette of the lady and the man were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear powder, to make them stand out more. They were the perfect size for the birdhouse.

At the back I stamped another sentiment stamp.

The side with the other silhouette, both of them face towards the front of the house. The text stamping on the background adds nice texture to the house.

Thank you for stopping by!!
