Henry & Harriet Card and Tag

Hello everyone! Today I have a card and a tag to share made with the new Darkroom Door Henry & Harriet collage stamp. It is such a lovely stamp, the image is fabulous and I love the script in the background. Check out the Darkroom Door blog to see more projects of my team mates using this stamp.

Henry & Harriet were stamped on cream cardstock with Archival Jet Black ink. I coloured the image softly with coloured pencils. I thought that it needed a frame and die cut a large oval ornate frame from cardstock. It was painted with Brushed Pewter Distress Paint and when dry, stamped with the French Script background stamp. The edges were inked with Black Soot and finally the frame was coated with a bit of Crackle Accents in a few places, and Glossy Accents everywhere else.

You can see the shine and crackle of the frame better here. For the background, I used a vintage dictionary page ('Opera') and aged it with walnut ink crystals dissolved in warm water. The same mix was used to age the ribbon and wooden embellishments.

A sentiment from Love Letters Vol. 2 was stamped on a banner and the card was finished with a die cut rolled flower.

I also made a tag, where almost everything is aged with a mix of walnut ink. It gives the look of a really old and worn photo. Henry & Harriet were stamped with Archival Jet Black ink.

I stamped a sentiment from Love Letters Vol. 2 on a die cut label, leaving out the large 'love' since there wasn't space for it, and instead replacing it with a Chit Chat sticker.

The hearts were inked with Barn Door and coated with Crackle Accents.

Happy stamping!!

Anna-Karin
