Stamp without ink

Hi everyone! This week our challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show is to stamp without ink. Fun! Show us stamping with paint, mist, markers, and anything else you could think of.

For this week, I made three ATCs:

I love the look of paint resist, together with distress inks, and also wanted to use my Perfect Pearls powders. One of my new Stamper's Anonymous Tim Holtz Classics sets #3 was calling for me to ink them up. I printed three quotes about flying and dreaming on manila cardstock that had been coloured with Distress Stains first (Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap).

First I stamped the images on manila cardstock with Snow Cap paint dabber. Remember to always clean your stamps immediately after stamping with paint. I dried them with my heat gun and then inked with Stormy Sky, Vintage Photo and Peeled Paint.

I dried the ATCs carefully with my heat gun, otherwise the Perfect Pearls would get stuck everywhere in the next step. The cards were stamped with three different stamps using Versamark ink and I brushed three different colours Perfect Pearls on top. Here you see the Blue Patina Perfect Pearls, brushed over the pretty script stamp in the Stamper's Anonymous Classics #9 set. Love the layered effect.

I covered grungeboard with natural sticky back canvas and die cut shapes from that. On the first card I used the Bird Branch, and inked the bird and branch with the same colours used on the background. The lace trim was dyed with Peeled Paint Distress Stain. For the Perfect Pearls on this card, I used the swirl stamp from the Tiny Textures set, and Green Patina Perfect Pearls.

For the second ATC I used the Heart & Wings die, and inked the small heart with Vintage Photo, the large with Peeled Paint and the wings with Stormy Sky. The trim was dyed with Stormy Sky Distress Stain.

The third ATC was stamped with the crackle stamp from the Stamper's Anonymous Classics #7 set, and Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls. The mini butterfly was inked with Stormy Sky and Peeled Paint and I shaped a piece of wire to glue on top.

You see the Perfect Pearls better here.

I hope you will join us this week! One lucky participant wins a $50 gift voucher from our awesome sponsor Simon Says Stamp.
