Wish Big

This card is for a Winterfest challenge at the Stamping Board at Two Peas in a Bucket, called Birthday Blast. The challenge is to use at least two birthday related stamps on a card.

I used three birthday related stamps (the cupcake, happy definition and sentiment). The cupcake was stamped on scrap watercolour papers which had been coloured with Distress Inks, Perfect Pearls and water. The top was cut from the lighter piece of paper and pieced on top of the other with foam dots. The background is glossy cardstock coloured with alcohol ink, the ‘happy definition’ was white embossed on top. The white cardstock was die cut with an edge die, embossed with hearts and lightly coated with Stickles. I wanted to add some pearls to the cupcake, but decided not to, since this card is for a two-year old, and she was sure to have fiddled the pearls off. Instead, dots of Stickles were added to the cupcake, a ‘2’ rub-on and later also the recipient’s name.

Thank you for looking!
